Persian Cress Seeds

Persian Cress is an excellent foliage and filler, and my favorite cress to grow! It is extremely cold hardy and heat tolerant and can be planted in succession all season long for an amazing wispy and textural addition to your bouquets.

Sowing & Spacing: 2-6" apart. Easy to direct sow or transplant.

Support: It requires heavy staking to ensure you have straight usable stems. We use two layers of hortanova netting to support the plants, one once they reach about 12" and another layer once they reach 18-24". Plants will easily reach 4'.

Harvest: after cress has flowered and the seed pods have developed, but before the plants start to yellow. Cress is very easy to dry and save seed from or for use as a dried foliage. Harvest for drying after seed pods have developed and hang upside down in a cool, dry, dark location.

While it is considered a one cut and done,  you can utilize the different branches throughout shorter bouquets and arrangements. Once cut it will not produce again, so we like to plant it every 1-2 weeks for a steady supply.

Other notes: Each packet contains a minimum of 150 seeds. Plants are edible. Germination rate 95%. Hand harvested & processed so you may find chaff in your packet.
